Tysons Corner, VA – Cordia Partners, a leading outsourced accounting, consulting, and recruiting and staffing firm in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area is pleased to announce Andrew Platou as Senior Manager.

Andrew has more than twenty years of professional experience in serving non-profit organizations and entrepreneurial businesses. His experience ranges from advising start-up businesses to publicly traded companies.

Andrew brings a depth and breadth of industry knowledge to Cordia Partners, with a specialized focus on tax exempt organizations and has extensive experience delivering audit and consulting services. His consulting expertise is focused in the areas of internal controls, financial reporting and analysis, accounting processes, business advisory services, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and forecasting. His diverse professional and industry experience has provided him with the ability to provide guidance in all aspects of financial operations to his clients.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Andrew was the Non-Profit Practice Leader at Snyder Cohn, and spent ten years as a senior manager at Grant Thornton. In addition, Andrew is also a subject matter expert in ERISA retirement plans.

Andrew is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is on the Board of the Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) and also serves as its Treasurer.
