Mitch is the founding Partner of Cordia Partners, a Northern VA based professional services firm that provides outsourced accounting, consulting and staffing services to   Washington, DC metropolitan area organizations.   Cordia serves not-for-profits, government contractors, and other businesses. Mitch has been instrumental in assisting our clients with management, staffing and operations of their accounting departments.

Mitch has over twenty five years of professional experience in accounting department development for new organizations, process and organizational reorganization, re-engineering and management of existing departments. Mitch also has extensive experience in audit, tax, and consulting services. His consulting expertise is focused in the areas of technology, business advisory services, strategic planning, re-engineering, government compliance, budgeting, and forecasting, cost allocating, cost containment, alternate revenue and reserve analysis.

Prior to founding Cordia Partners, Mitch was the Partner-in-Charge of Beers & Cutler’s (now Baker Tilly) outsourced accounting group. He is Past Chair of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce (formerly the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce). He also serves as Secretary of the Washington DC Economic Partnership, Treasurer of Potomac Community Resources, Interfaith Works and on the board of the Men of St. John’s College High School. Mitch resides in Montgomery County, MD with his wife and two children.

Traci Shepps is a Senior Partner and Leader of Cordia’s Government Contracting Practice.

Traci has over twenty-five years of professional experience in all facets of accounting operations, compliance, system design and implementation, and system and process optimization. Combining a strong accounting and consulting background with business systems experience, Traci specializes in advising her clients on accounting compliance, system design, and business process implementation and optimization requirements. Her diverse professional and industry experience has provided her with an extensive knowledge base of business scenarios and industry best practices.

Traci’s experience supporting government contractors with accounting department management, financial reporting, complex indirect rate and revenue computations, GAAP and FAR compliance, and cost allowability provides them the expertise and best practices to be successful.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Traci was the Business Information Systems Practice Director of a national accounting and advisory firm. In addition, Traci’s background includes corporate finance operations experience and leading an independent outsourced accounting practice.

Traci is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Lori has approximately 25 years of professional experience in corporate and outsourced accounting services spanning a wide variety of financial accounting functions. She has provided services to commercial and not for profit organizations. Lori also serves as the internal Controller and Human Resources Manager for both Cordia Partners and Cordia Search.

Joseph (Joe) Greeves was one of the three original co-founders of Cordia Partners, a leading provider of business advisory, finance and accounting, and recruiting and staffing services in the Washington DC metropolitan region. Joe joined Cordia Partners, on a full-time basis, in April 2013 to lead the Cordia Search operations and to provide CFO consulting and advisory services to Cordia’s clients primarily in the technology and professional services industries.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Joe was the EVP & CFO of GeoEye, Inc. an industry leading, publicly traded satellite imaging business, which he successfully sold for over $1 billion in 2013. Prior to GeoEye he was the CFO of several publicly traded and venture-backed businesses including Managed Objects, OPNET Technologies, Fusion Systems, and ERC Environmental and a CFO mentor and consultant for Lazard technology Partner’s venture fund. His accomplishments include being named the NVTC public company CFO of the year for 2010 where he was invited to be a judge of the awards for 2011, 2012, and 2013. He began his career as an audit supervisor with Touche Ross & co. (now Deloitte).

Brigitta’s experience with accounting department management, internal audit and internal control support, revenue recognition, cost allowability, forward pricing, disclosure statement, and risk management provides our clients with the industry leading expertise and compliance best practices needed for their successful growth.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Brigitta was Director in the Advisory practice of Baker Tilly, a national accounting and advisory firm.  In addition, Brigitta’s background includes corporate finance operations experience in an organization that grew aggressively from a startup to a public company, and providing assurance and tax services in a public accounting firm.

Janette has twenty-six years of professional experience in all facets of serving the audit, compliance, tax, and consulting needs of the not-for-profit industry with a focus on organizations that include charitable, membership and trade associations, Political Action Committees, and those with significant international operations and/or federal funding.  Janette has extensive expertise in GAAP, GAAS, and OMB and has worked with clients on indirect rate structures and agreements, joint and other expense allocations, multi-entity and for-profit subsidiaries, and internal control assessments and guidance.

Janette works with accounting departments, senior management, and boards of directors on education in many areas including governance, fiduciary responsibility, risk management, revenue recognition, grants and contracts, understanding financial statements and reports, and implementation of new accounting standards.

For twenty-one years, prior to joining Cordia Partners, Janette was a Partner in the Not-for-Profit practice at RSM US, LLP, a national accounting and advisory firm.

Janette is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Greater Washington Society of CPA, serves on the Advisory Board and Audit committee for Make-A-Wish Foundation Mid-Atlantic, and is the Treasurer of the National Academy of State Health Policy.

Don has over 30 years of professional experience, including nearly 20 years as a leading hotel and real estate industry financial executive. He served as CFO and Corporate Controller of two of the nation’s largest publicly-owned hotel Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). His experience has included numerous capital market transactions, and several major corporate restructurings in addition to establishing and building several highly successful accounting and finance organizations. He has deep knowledge regarding capital raising (including IPO’s), financial reporting, effective organization structures, budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning and governance. He has industry experience with companies in the hospitality, real estate, government contracting, telecommunications, and technology industries, among others.

Mike has over 20 years of professional experience managing finance and accounting operations including analysis and reporting, indirect rate development, DCAA submissions, revenue recognition, and strategic planning. Mike assists clients in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, FAR/CAS compliance, technical GAAP issues, cost and pricing support, and DCAA audit support.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Mike was the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and Pricing for a mid-sized government contractor. In addition, Mike’s background includes corporate finance operations experience in the Government Contracting and Commercial arenas.

Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and has an MBA from Virginia Tech.

Veronica Vannoy is a Partner at Cordia and head of Marketing and Communications for Cordia’s family of companies. She is responsible for external and internal marketing communications including market strategy, brand awareness, event management, and digital marketing automation. Veronica promotes Cordia’s outsourced accounting, consulting, technical accounting, and recruiting & staffing services to government contractors, non-profit organizations and commercial clients. She is also focused on strengthening relationships with partners, clients, and vendors.

With over 25 years of experience in marketing strategy, content development, digital marketing, and creative services, Veronica brings expertise in branding, advertising, web development, social media execution, and content writing to help strengthen Cordia’s market position in the Washington, DC area. Prior to joining Cordia, Veronica was the Marketing Director for a $70 million national recruiting and staffing firm.

In a former role, Veronica was the Founder and President of VC Graphics, Inc., a bilingual marketing communications and web development firm serving nonprofit organizations, commercial clients, and federal government agencies. As a marketing leader and entrepreneur for 15 years, Veronica was instrumental in launching more than 50 brands and in driving profitability for many companies through targeted marketing initiatives and technology platforms. She holds a B.S. in Advertising, Marketing and Graphic Design from the University of Miami, FL, is proficient in web development language, holds certifications in digital marketing, and is fluent in Spanish.

Dana Fisher has been with Cordia since its inception and drives business development strategy and execution for all three companies:  Cordia Resources, Cordia Partners, and Cordia Technical Accounting.  She has over 25 years of business development, sales, and marketing experience in the accounting and legal industries. She is responsible for strategic partner referral management, business development, sales networking, coaching, pipeline management, event management, and strategic market planning and development.  Dana provides superior business development and sales process acumen to ensure the continued successful growth of the firm.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Dana was the Mid-Atlantic Regional Marketing Manager for McGuire Woods LLP, a national law firm headquartered in Virginia. While at McGuire Woods, Dana provided marketing strategy and direction for the Mid-Atlantic practice area. Before McGuire Woods, Dana was Director of Sales and Client Development for the Technology, Communications, and Entertainment (TCE) Practice Area at Ernst & Young LLP in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Through her leadership the TCE practice of Ernst & Young LLP became a market leader during the internet boom.

Dana holds a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Public Administration and is very active in a number of business and community organizations including the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce,  The Women’s Center, Association for Corporate Growth, Small and Emerging Contractors Forum (SECAF), where she holds a position as Membership Co-Chair, and the founder of the Executive Women’s Networking Forum (EWN) that meets bi-annually to connect women personally and professionally.

Grant Palmer is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer for Cordia Partners and Cordia Resources (CORDIA). He is responsible for leading Cordia’s finance, accounting, and human resource functions while executing finance strategies and BD efforts to achieve continued growth.

Grant brings over 25 years of professional experience managing corporate finance teams at rapidly growing companies in both the healthcare and information services industries.

Prior to Cordia, Grant served as the Senior Vice-President of Finance/Interim CFO with Centurion Health where he led all finance functions including accounting, FP&A, new and existing business development pricing, and payroll/systems. He was part of the strategic M&A team that led the sale of the company to Centene Corporation, a Fortune 25 company. Earlier, Grant served as the corporate Controller and Vice-President, Finance at a privately held investment firm. There he led the accounting, FP&A, and client service groups, as well as the analysis and due diligence of nine acquisitions of companies and product lines resulting in significant top and bottom-line growth. During his career, he has successfully executed numerous accounting and budget system technology migrations to support these high-growth companies.

Grant earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.  He is an avid supporter of several local organizations including the ALS Association on their annual walk teams, the McKenna Center DC Hypothermia Center, and Gonzaga College High School where he served as a Fathers’ Club President/board member. Grant resides in Maryland with his wife, Lorraine, and has three sons.

Mike Drennan joined Cordia Partners after serving more than five years in a consulting role as interim CFO – Controller for several of the firm’s not-for-profit and for-profit clients. Mike has a specific focus on helping clients resolve operational challenges in their accounting and finance departments that allow stakeholders the opportunity to receive timely and accurate financial data for management purposes.

Mike has over 20 years experience in financial and accounting leadership positions in the areas of not-for-profit, manufacturing, small business, and international operations. He assists our clients in accounting department turnaround, developing policies & procedures, providing outsourcing and interim CFO solutions, and overall business operations input.

Mike has extensive experience in the organization of the financial accounting function where he has an excellent understanding of how to integrate these functions into all areas of the organization for optimal success. Not adverse to rolling-up his sleeves and jumping in, Mike is equally capable of leading a team of Cordia professionals to accomplish the engagement at hand.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Mike held Senior Financial Executive positions within the not-for-profit, manufacturing, international, and professional services industries. Mike spent more than two years with the Arthur Andersen outsourcing practice in Washington, DC.

With over 20 years of accounting experience and a lifetime spent working in the nonprofit industry, Tracy leverages her exposure to a multitude of non-profit organizations to deliver accounting solutions and excellent customer service. In her current role as Principal, she works with Cordia’s leadership team to oversee strategy and technical matters, including the implementation of new accounting standards, strengthening internal controls, and process improvements utilizing technology, budgeting, grant compliance and reporting, and audit assistance.

Tracy serves as a trusted advisor to her clients providing guidance and assistance on transactions, internal controls, and overall internal operating effectiveness. She works closely with nonprofit executives to assist them with strategic planning and risk management, helping nonprofits achieve profitability and prepare for future growth.

Tracy started her career as Assurance Senior Manager at Grant Thornton LLP focusing 100% on non-profit clients. Her areas of focus included multi-entity trade associations, with significant conference and event income; international non-profits with substantial federal funding requiring additional audit procedures dictated by OMB Circular’s A-133 and A-122 (now known as the Uniform guidance); and the improvement and enhancement of the internal control structure. After leaving public accounting, Tracy served as Assistant Controller for two large international organizations in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area.

Tracy is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Virginia. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Society of Association Executives, and serves on the Board of Directors for Families4Families DMV. Tracy is a Virginia native and a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Jeremy Taro is a Business Development Director for Cordia’s Outsourced Accounting & Business Advisory, Recruiting & Staffing, and Technical Accounting practice areas.  He is responsible for customer acquisition and growth strategy focused largely within the Nonprofit/International NGO, Government Contractor and Professional Service industries.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Jeremy was the Business Development Director for a national accounting and advisory firm leading their Enterprise Resource Planning and Digital Transformation practice.  He has an extensive background working with the world’s leading software and technology partners building first-class solutions for some of the most complex organizations in the Nonprofit, Government Contracting, and Professional Services industries.

Jeremy received his B.A. in Economics and American Studies from Brandeis University where he also played baseball and competed in the Division III college world series his freshman year.  He is an active member of the Mid-Atlantic business community and has been a Make-A-Wish volunteer and ambassador for over 11 years.  Jeremy lives in Ashburn, VA with his wife Melissa and two daughters, Peyton and Olivia.

In addition, her technology, problem-solving, and project management expertise bring significant value to our clients.

Robyn has over 25 years of experience in accounting operations, system design and implementation, project management, corporate training, and instructional design. She is well-versed in multiple industries, including government contracting, financial services, software development, and telecom.

Before joining Cordia Partners, Robyn spent nearly six years at Unanet, where she developed advanced software proficiency. In addition, her background includes large-scale project management, ERP software implementations, general accounting, planning and financial analysis, and instructional design.

Robyn holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and has been certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2013. Robyn is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and the PMI Suncoast Chapter.

Heather has more than 25 years of professional experience in all facets of Finance and Operations, including financial planning and analysis, internal controls, business process re-engineering, optimization, risk management, policy development, governance, and accounting department management.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Heather held executive roles in not-for-profit organizations including CFO, COO, and Deputy Executive Director. During this time, she successfully managed major system conversions, two turn-around strategies, major staff re-organizations, pension plan closing, major real-estate transactions, strategic planning, and implementation, and spearheaded revenue growth strategies. Throughout her career, Heather has worked for public, non-profit, and public accounting firms doing financial planning and analysis, compliance, and audit work.

Heather is a CPA, CAE, a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs, and a member of the American Society of Association Executives. She resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband and two children.

Romain specializes in Deltek Costpoint system support including system design and implementation, process optimization, data remediation and troubleshooting, and Cognos report writing. He provides innovative solutions to address many complex business and technology challenges.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Romain was the Assistant Controller, Deltek SME at an IT services and cyber operations company in Vienna, Virginia. In this position, Romain led the integration of several acquisitions into a common Costpoint database. In previous roles, he held the position of Director at a large consulting and implementation practice. Romain holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Economics from Caen University, France.

Todd is a strategic finance and operations executive with over 20 years of progressive experience in a government contracting environment.  His expertise includes managing the corporate big picture while aligning the strategic objectives with everyday operational activities. Todd’s deep financial operations experience in accounting, pricing, contracts, and program management provide him the insight to help his clients increase their cost competitiveness and revenue generation, at both the program and corporate levels.

Todd’s experience with finance and business operations management provides his clients with the industry-leading expertise and compliance best practices needed for their successful growth.  He has worked with a variety of government clients and agencies, as well as a myriad of both large and small prime contractors.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Todd was Director of Finance and Business Operations in both large and small Government contractors providing P&L Management, Annual Operating Plans, Forecast & Variance Analysis,  Pricing, Cash Management, and Risk Management.  In addition, Todd’s background includes corporate finance operations experience in the areas of compliance, indirect rate development, DCAA submissions, accounting, audit, and facilities management.

Lynnette Leidwinger is a Director in Cordia Partners’ Government Contracting Practice and is responsible for providing contract management and compliance services.

Lynnette has over 20 years of professional experience in all facets of federal government contracting. Specializing in contract support, she provides clients with compliance risk mitigation and essential advice around contractual rights, responsibilities, and obligations.

Lynnette’s experience includes federal, SLED, and commercial contracting as well as accounting and program analysis. Her diverse industry experience provides her with a comprehensive understanding of program requirements to harmonize contract structure and business terms to business strategies for managing financial risk. Lynnette has experience in building contract departments and developing best practice processes and procedures. She has supported contracts for a wide variety of federal agencies, including DOD, as well as various state and local agencies.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Lynnette was the Director of Contracts for a multi-company organization and provided support for several operating companies in various stages of the SBA 8(A) program. Other experience includes working for both large and small federal contractors as well as an IT solutions company.

Lynnette is a member of the National Contract Management Association and the World Commerce and Contracting Association (formerly IACCM).

Jade brings over 15 years of professional experience focused on finance and accounting operations in the government contracting arena. Jade is an expert in bridging the gap between accounting, compliance, and Unanet system functionality.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Jade was a Senior Accountant for a mid-sized government contractor, involved in all facets of accounting operations for two of its subsidiaries.

As Director, Kristen Shrump serves as a leader within Cordia’s Sage Intacct and Technology Consulting practice and is responsible for driving accelerated growth within both our IAP and VAR practices, while maintaining high customer satisfaction. She establishes and monitors key metrics within the practice to meet goals, ensure growth, and support clients long-term.

Kristen brings over 10 years of Sage Intacct experience having worked to deploy Sage Intacct and other related third-party solutions. She is an advocate for the Intacct ERP and along with her depth of knowledge, she deepens the expertise and training of Cordia’s technology team, while also working to empower our clients to confidently utilize their technology solutions and implement best practices. Kristen’s client-driven approach ensures Cordia delivers customized solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Kristen has successfully obtained technology certifications from Sage, Expensify, Bill, and QuickBooks, and holds a BA in Business Administration and a Master’s in Accounting and Business Management from Walsh University, North Canton, OH.

Marshall Haney is a Senior Director within Cordia’s Government Contracting Practice. He has more than 30 years of experience providing industry-specific risk management, compliance, operational, and strategic advisory services to government contractors. Marshall covers full lifecycle support to government contractors from proposal preparation and strategy to managing compliance risk through risk assessments, internal controls, and policies and procedures.

Marshall has deep government contracts experience directly dealing with various cost accounting and compliance issues. His specific expertise includes Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARS), Contractor Business Systems, Cost Recovery and Allowability, Defective Pricing, and Incurred Cost Submissions.  He has extensive experience working with DCAA and DCMA.
