On May 10th Cordia Partners will co-host a Women's Executive Networking event along with Helios HR, Holland & Knight, MV Financial, PWC, TD Bank, and Willis Towers Watson. This bi-annual event brings together women executives from throughout the Washington metro-area for an evening of wine tasting, delectable hors d'oeuvres, networking, and charity at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner. For our Women's Executive Networking event we feature a local charity or non-profit and share with our guests how they can contribute both personally and professionally.
For this event, we are featuring Shelter House which is a community-based, non-profit organization serving homeless families in Fairfax County, Virginia. Shelter House was formed in 1981, when several ecumenical groups came together to better serve Fairfax County’s low-income population. In 1985, Shelter House’s facility was moved to its current location in Falls Church. In 2007, Shelter House was awarded Fairfax County’s contract to operate the Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter in Fairfax. In 2010, Shelter House became the first non-profit to operate Artemis House, Fairfax County’s only 24 hour Domestic Violence Shelter.
